Garden Team
The Garden Team needs your help to keep our grounds looking their best! There are many small areas around the buildings that need to be kept free of weeds and need occasional pruning, or perhaps you want to get creative with new plantings. Our goal is to have many volunteers, each committing to one area, setting their own schedule for their gardening. As we all know, many hands make for light work!

If you can offer some time and talent to this ministry, please contact Judy Wainwright (judyw134@comcast.net) or Judy Blaisdell at cbsblais@comcast.net.

Seeking ChIPS Coordinator for Christ Church
ChIPS (Children of Incarcerated Persons) Program has helped make Christmas for children of incarcerated persons every year.  Each year, churches around the diocese collect gifts and donations which are brought to Diocesan Convention in November.  The gifts are then transported to Blass Clubhouse at St. Paul’s School for sorting.  Would you like to be the ChIPS contact at Christ Church and help us coordinate our 2016 contribution to this program?  Responsibilities would include: acting as the Christ Church contact person for the Diocese, working with the Christ Church staff to spread the word about donation and volunteer opportunities in early fall through bulletins and weekly email, coordinating donations and drop off at Convention, and finally helping to spread the word about other volunteer opportunities (sorting, packing wrapping) with this program in mid-November.

Altar Guild
The Altar Guild ministry is dedicated to assisting the clergy in preparing the sanctuary and the chapel for worship services.  The Guild is responsible for both the set-up and clean-up for all services including weddings, funerals, and baptisms.  Membership consists of 15 women and men serving in teams of three and scheduled in one week rotations throughout the year. These teams change every four months to provide the opportunity to work with different people. Altar Guild is open to men, women and teens.

Welcoming Team/ Ushers
The mission of the Welcoming & Hospitality Team is to ensure every person who walks through the doors feels cared about, informed and included. Team members are dedicated to helping attendees to enter the church with a warm reception, and provide any assistance necessary for them to comfortably participate in the service. They especially seek to identify first-time visitors, provide them with a warm welcome and information about the church, and introduce them to the clergy and other church members. Each week our Team includes a member of the Vestry who joins in greeting people as they arrive.

There is nothing more heartfelt than the smiling faces of our hospitality greeters on Sunday mornings.  Whether the greeter is 10 or 80, a warm smile, a welcome and a handshake are our pleasure to provide.  Greeters warmly welcome “regulars” and guests. Ushers hand out bulletins and help everyone get comfortably seated. Ushers and greeters also support guests by orienting them to our facilities, addressing any questions and helping them to connect with our ministers, leadership and the members of our parish. Serving on the Welcoming Team is a great way to meet the members of our parish and contribute to parish life.  You may serve as an individual, with a partner or as a family.  As a diverse parish, we love having people of all ages.  For the  10:00 service please contact Judy Mikami (email: jmikami@myfairpoint.net; cell: 603-493-4609).  We would love to have you!
